How can we help?

Quick answers for the things that come up while using YardDog. If something still isn’t working, reach out through Contact.

Account and access

Can an outside driver check in without an account?

Yes, when the receiving yard enables guest check-in. Open Driver Check-In and enter the yard’s Drop Code, or use the link or QR code its staff shared. Enter your name, carrier and trailer number, then submit. Wait for yard staff to review the request and assign your spot. A Drop Code does not join you to the company.

How do I share or stop guest check-ins?

Managers can open Company → Guest driver check-in to enable or pause access, copy or share a link, compose an email, or download a QR code. A delivery link works once and expires after 24 hours. Enabling access again or generating a new Drop Code invalidates previous links and QR codes, so share the replacements.

How do I join my company’s yard?

Create an account or sign in, then use the join code your company manager provides. Ask your manager for a new code if yours has expired or does not work.

Why can’t I edit a trailer?

Access depends on your role. Drivers have a limited view; yard hustlers, dispatch and managers have different editing tools. Your company manager can check your role.

How do I update my sign-in details?

Open Profile to change your display name, sign-in email or password. Email changes take effect after you confirm the link sent to the new address.

Working the yard

How do I remove a trailer from a spot?

Open the trailer in Yard, choose the remove action, then confirm Remove from spot. The trailer moves to Off Yard and remains in the trailer directory.

How do I bring a trailer back from Off Yard?

Choose an open yard spot, enter the trailer’s existing number and save. YardDog moves that trailer back into the yard and closes the empty gap in Off Yard.

My change didn’t appear. What should I check?

Check for a save message and make sure you have a connection. Close and reopen the spot to view the current record. If YardDog says another person changed the yard, review the latest spot and repeat your edit.

Billing

If billing is available for your company, a manager can open Company → Subscription & billing to review its plan, invoices and cancellation options.

Report a trailer issue

Tap a trailer in the yard and choose Report trailer issue, or open My trailer reports / Trailer issues from the menu. Add a comment, a photo, or both. Dispatch can mark the report In progress or Resolved, and the reporter can follow updates.

To receive alerts while YardDog is closed, open Profile → Device notifications and tap Enable notifications. On iPhone or iPad, add YardDog to the Home Screen first and open it there. Allow notifications when asked. If you previously blocked permission, change it in your device or browser settings.
